Dinesh Karthik played a brilliant role as a finisher for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the IPL. Due to this, on 1 June 1985, the Chennai-born cricketer returned to Team India after three years. The return of this right-handed wicket-keeper batsman is special, as at the age of 37, it is very difficult to find a place in the team after a long drop. Karthik did it with his passion. His career has been full of ups and downs. He has been in and out of the team. Similarly, his personal life has also been full of difficulties.
It is in 2007 when 21-year-old Dinesh Karthik married his childhood friend Nikita Vanzara. Nikita’s father and Dinesh’s father were good friends and their children grew up together. Both the families were preparing to convert friendship into kinship. As soon as they got old, both of them got married in Mumbai.
However, after 5 years of marriage, Nikita’s interest started waning and she fell in love with Karthik’s fellow cricketer Murali Vijay. In 2012, during the Vijay Hazare Trophy match between Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, Karthik came to know about his wife’s affair with Murali Vijay. After this Karthik divorced her.
Soon after Karthik divorced, Nitika and Murali Vijay got married and the divorce case was handled very quickly and quietly by both the parties. Murali Vijay and Nikita are parents to 3 children. After getting cheated, Dinesh Karthik found true love when he met Indian squash player Dipika Pallikal in 2015.
It is said that he was taking fitness training under the same coach. Dipika hated cricketers and believed that the kind of publicity and fame she enjoys far outweighs other players. However, after a few meetings with Karthik, their views proved to be wrong and they fell in love and started dating each other. In August 2015, both tied the knot. Dinesh and Deepika have twin sons Kabir Pallikal Karthik and Jian Pallikal Karthik.
