In the British Grand Prix Formula 1 race on Sunday, Chinese racer Zhou Guanyu was the victim of a horrific accident. His car Alfa Romeo became a victim of the accident in the first lap itself. How terrible the accident was can be gauged from the fact that his car was seen turning like a match box. The car also caught fire.
According to the information, after fighting with the tire kept on the side of the track, the car jumped and hit the boundary. After this the race was stopped. Seeing this creepy scene, not only the spectators but other racers were also scared. Guanyue’s fellow driver, George Russell, immediately rushed to the crash site. Russell did not say that it was a very scary accident. After this the rescue team reached near Guanyue.
Today was a reminder that F1 remains a high-speed, high-risk sport that is always right on the edge.

According to The Telegraph, the Alfa Romeo team reported that Guanyu was conscious. He is talking and there is no fracture. Considering the circumstances, his condition is fine. Silverstone is one of the fastest tracks in F1. On the part of the track where Guanyue crashed, cars usually move at a speed of around 240 km/h.
Guanyue’s life was saved because of the Halo device and it did its job once again. This device is designed to protect the driver’s head in case of an accident. The Chinese racer was brought to the hospital on a stretcher. He was later discharged by the doctors. Williams’ Alex Albon, who hit the wall during the crash, was helicoptered to Coventry Hospital.
About an hour later the race began at the English race track in front of a crowd of 140,000 people. Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz Jr overtook Red Bull’s Sergio Perez and his Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton to win. This was his first victory. Championship leader Max Verstappen finished seventh.
