Veteran Dinesh Karthik has jumped 108 places to 87th position in the latest ICC T20 batting rankings on the back of his stellar performance in the recent past. At the same time, young opener Ishan Kishan reached joint number six. Just a week ago, he had jumped 68 places to break into the top 10. He achieved this feat in the 15th month of his T20 International debut.
Ishan Kishan scored two half-centuries in the five-match series against South Africa. He scored 206 runs at an average of 41. Thanks to this form, the left-handed cricketer has gained a place in the latest T20 rankings for batsmen to move up to the sixth position. Ishan Kishan is the only Indian player in the top 10.

Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan (jointly third) and Sri Lankan spinner Wanindu Hasaranga (sixth) both have gained a place each. Ravindra Jadeja has maintained his top spot in the Test all-rounder’s list with 385 rating points. He is currently in the UK for India’s one test match against England. This Test match is the last match of the five-match series last year, which was postponed due to COVID-19.
Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan moved up to the second spot with 346 rating points. Former India captain Virat Kohli (742) continues to be at the 10th spot in the list of Test batsmen, while veteran off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin (850) and pacer Jasprit Bumrah (830) are at the second and third positions respectively in the bowlers’ list.
West Indies pacer Kemar Roach has also moved up four places to eighth in the bowlers’ list on the back of his impressive performance against Bangladesh. Australian fast bowler Pat Cummins tops the list of Test bowlers with 901 rating points.
