Former India opener batsman Aakash Chopra has made his prediction for the first T20 match between England and India. The match will be played at the Rose Bowl in Southampton on Thursday. The hosts will be led by Jos Buttler, who replaced Eoin Morgan in the limited overs. Morgan recently announced his retirement from international cricket.
Chopra said in his prediction that England’s team will win the first T20 match. It has also been predicted that 15 sixes will be hit in this match as both the teams hit a lot of sixes. After recovering from Corona, Rohit Sharma will be seen playing and the playing XI will include the same players who played against Ireland.
Chopra said, “My first prediction is that I think Jos Buttler and David Malan together will score more than 75 runs. I mean it is impossible to stop Butler at the moment, even though the team has won 50 per cent of the matches and lost 50 per cent. If you look at the last five matches, they have lost two matches and won only two, but Buttler can turn the match single-handedly and I think David Malan will also score runs.”
Chopra also said, “I think Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav will score more than 70 runs. However, Rohit is available for the opening slot. Does this mean Sanju will play? Or will Sanju not play and Deepak Hooda will play at number three? He also explained the reason behind his prediction of victory for England in the first match of the three-match T20I series. “I think England will win this match even if India’s bowling is looking a little better when it comes to man-to-man marking and the opposition is a bit strong as far as their batting is concerned. “
Aakash Chopra did not include Rituraj Gaikwad and Sanju Samson in his playing. Team: Rohit Sharma (Captain), Ishan Kishan, Deepak Hooda, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Dinesh Karthik, Axar Patel, Yuzvendra Chahal, Harshal Patel, Avesh Khan, Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
