According to the Times of India report, the Advertising Standards Council of India has asked the IPL to withdraw this promo video. The council has recommended that the promo video violates the Advertising Code. According to the council, the promo video glorifies the violation of traffic rules.
MS Dhoni was in the role of driver in this video. In the video, Dhoni is driving the bus and suddenly applies the brakes. Traffic stops. The people behind start getting worried. Dhoni reverses his bus and stands in front of the TV screen and starts watching it along with the other passengers of the bus. Then a traffic officer comes with a bike. According to the report, the Consumer Unity and Trust Society had filed a complaint against this promo video. Following this, members of the Consumer Complaints Committee (CCC) of the Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI) saw the advertisement along with representatives of the company that made the promo. ASCI found the video in violation of advertising rules. ASCI has asked IPL to withdraw it by April 20. At the same time, Nitish Rana was found guilty of a level one offense during the match played between Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians on 6 April at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. He was fined 10 percent of the match fee and reprimanded. Senior fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah was also reprimanded. However, the statement issued by the IPL does not mention which rule was violated.

Bumrah has accepted the level 1 offense and punishment under the IPL Code of Conduct. The decision of the match referee for a Level 1 breach of the Code of Conduct is final and binding.
