Spanish club Real Madrid won the UEFA Champions League title for the record 14th time amid the uproar on the morning of 29 May 2022. They beat Liverpool 1–0 in the final. Liverpool have to face defeat in the final for the fourth time. Real Madrid has won the UEFA Champions League title since 2018. He defeated Liverpool in 2018 as well. Real Madrid have not lost a final even once since 1981. During this she became the champion 8 times.
In the match played in the French capital Paris, Real’s Vinicius Junior scored the only goal of the match. However, the real hero of the victory was Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibo Cortva. He created history by saving nine goals. For the first time in a Champions League final, a goalkeeper has saved so many goals. Kourtva had saved eight goals in the pre-quarterfinal eight against Paris Saint-Germain and eight in the semi-final against Manchester City.
While Real Madrid completed a Champions League-La Liga double, the manager of this football club, Carlo Anzolotti, also created history. He became the manager to win the Champions League the most times. He won the title with AC Milan in 2002–03 and 2006–07. He then won the 2013–14 and 2021–22 winners’ trophies with Real Madrid.
In the 59th minute of the match, Real Madrid youth player Vinicius Junior scored the first goal of the football match. Dani Carvahl’s pass was pushed by Fedrico Valverde towards Vinicius. Vinicius scored without any fault.
Police had to use force to control the crowd
Earlier the match started 37 minutes late due to crowd disturbances. UEFA accused people trying to enter the stadium without valid tickets of chaos. Actually, thousands of fans were stranded outside the stadium. Some fans climbed the fence around the stadium to get in. To prevent the crowd of fans from entering the stadium, the police ran to the gate with a stick.

UEFA said in its official statement, “The match will be delayed due to security reasons. However, this is not the first time that UEFA has been embroiled in a title match of a major tournament. Hundreds of fans entered Wembley Stadium without tickets for the final of the Euro Cup last year. Then the father of England defender Harry Maguire was allegedly hurt in the crowd. His ribs were also broken.
