According to former Indian cricket team opener Virender Sehwag, former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar used to do ‘chucking’. Sehwag also believes that Shoaib Akhtar himself knew about ‘chucking’. Brett Lee’s hand was straight, so it was easy to catch his ball, but it was not so with Shoaib. You didn’t even know where his hand was coming from and where the ball would come from.
Sehwag told that currently the bowling coach of Mumbai Indians and former New Zealand fast bowler Shane Bond was the toughest bowler in front of him. Sehwag said, “His (Bond’s) balls used to come fast on your body, even if he kept bowling outside the off-stump.” Sehwag also said that Brett Lee and Shoaib were the other two bowlers he faced.
“I was never afraid to face Brett Lee, but when Shoaib hit two shots, he would attack with a beamer or a yorker,” Sehwag admitted. However, Sehwag clarified that he considers the Pakistan pacer his friend. Sehwag in test Shoaib Akhtar And have faced Pakistan team. Sehwag also revealed that he never stopped himself from scoring quick runs to achieve the feat.
