Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who started his second innings in UP, is appearing tougher than ever on corruption and negligence. Taking second major action within a week, Auraiya District Magistrate Sunil Verma has been suspended.
Sunil Verma was facing allegations of negligence in work, corruption and nexus with copying mafia. Earlier, a drastic step like suspension of Sonbhadra DM TK Shibu and Ghaziabad SSP Pawan Kumar was also taken together.
Earlier, DM of Sonbhadra and SSP of Ghaziabad were suspended on March 31. The DM of Sonbhadra was suspended for corruption in mining and construction work and not working properly during elections, while the SSP of Ghaziabad has been suspended for non-compliance with crime and non-compliance with duties.
Additional Chief Secretary Home Avnish Kumar Awasthi had told that Pawan Kumar has been suspended for not stopping the crime and not performing the duties. On the other hand, in the order issued by Additional Chief Secretary Appointment and Personnel Devesh Kumar Chaturvedi, it has been said that the government had received continuous complaints against Sonbhadra DM TK Shibu. Complaints were made against him by public representatives of corruption in mining, district mineral trust committee and other construction works in Sonbhadra.
