Such people defy a very ordinary family and lack of facilities and write a new story of success on the basis of their hard work. Such people become examples for their society and region as well as the country. A similar story has emerged from Punjab. After the training session, two constables working in Punjab Police prepared for the examination and interview by studying in the light of the temple. Now the fruits of their hard work have come to light. Both the young constables have fulfilled the wishes of their ancestors by becoming commissioned officers in the Indian Army. Punjab Director General of Police (Punjab DGP) Gauraval Yadav also praised both of them and said that he is proud of both his soldiers.
Anmol Sharma (24), working as a constable in Punjab Police, has set an example by achieving success in the CDS examination. Anmol Sharma has secured 99th rank in CDS All India. His father is an ASI in Punjab Police. Anmol’s father is also an international hockey umpire. On the other hand, Constable Lovepreet Singh of Punjab Police has succeeded in the SSB interview. Lovepreet’s father is a Subedar in the army. Punjab Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav has expressed happiness over the success of Anmol and Lovepreet. He said, ‘It is a matter of great pride for Punjab Police and the state that two of our youth have been selected for the post of officers in the armed forces. I am fully confident that both of them will become an inspiration for the coming generations by maintaining our tradition of courage and bravery.

grandfather’s dream fulfilled
Lovepreet Singh, resident of Nangal Dayal Singh village of Amritsar, has maintained the tradition of his family by succeeding in SSB. According to the report published in ‘Indian Express’, Lovepreet’s father Subedar Jagwinder Singh could not succeed in the SSB interview. Lovepreet told that her father had appeared for interview twice in 1991 and 1992, but could not succeed. Lovepreet’s grandfather Natha Singh has retired from 5 Sikh Light Infantry. His wish was that the child of his family should become a commissioned officer in the Indian Army. Now Lovepreet has fulfilled his wish.

Anmol Sharma was also a constable in Punjab Police. After passing the CDS exam, he is now going to become an officer in the army. Lovepreet told that the lights in the training center used to be switched off at 9.30 in the night, in such a situation he used to go with Anmol to study in the temple located near the centre. Anmol tells that he has studied in the light of the burning lamp in the temple. Apart from this, he used to use a table lamp in his room so that no one has any problem in sleeping. He always kept notes with him and kept revising during breaks.
