Actor Darshan Kumar, who played an important role in ‘The Kashmir Files’, is getting a lot of praise. Vivek Agnihotri’s film ‘The Kashmir Files’ has given that identity to Darshan Kumar. Now after this success, Darshan Kumar has told about his struggle, after which he has reached this point today.
The audition used to be many kilometers away
In a conversation with Siddharth Kanan, Darshan Kumar said, ‘For me it has been like a roller coaster ride. I always get emotional thinking about this, it has been a very difficult time for me from the beginning till now. We had to cross Mumbai for auditions and travel a long distance. For this also we had to reach in formal clothes, and I could not buy good shoes, so I had bought shoes from Andheri for Rs 200-300.
used to eat biscuits dipped in water
Darshan Kumar told that he used to go on foot to give auditions as he did not have bus fare. I used to buy Parleji biscuits by saving money for bus fare. If I got a cup of tea, fine otherwise I used to eat that biscuit with water, because I had to spend the whole day. Once I was walking home at 9-10 pm when the sole of my shoe got dislocated.
If the shoe broke, then walked 7 kilometers barefoot
Darshan Kumar told that he was not able to walk wearing it and was walking with a limp in some way. I could not find a cobbler anywhere, so I picked up my shoes and walked barefoot for about 5-7 kms. Darshan told that there were many nights when he had to sleep hungry because he did not have money to eat outside. Darshan told that after working in Mary Kom, he got a lot of love but even then he did not have money. It is known that Darshan Kumar has worked in projects like NH10, Aashram, The Family Man and Sarbjit.
