New Delhi. PM Narendra Modi had started the Ayushman Bharat scheme to provide free treatment facility up to 5 lakh to BPL families across the country, but poor families of Delhi are not getting the benefit of this scheme. The reason is that CM Arvind Kejriwal, who claims to be the head of the government of the common man, did not implement the Ayushman Bharat scheme in Delhi. In the year 2020, Kejriwal had claimed that this scheme would be implemented, but till now it has not happened. This has been revealed through an RTI.
Let us tell you that for the last few days, the claims of Kejriwal government are being exposed one by one through RTI. He has not built 500 new schools nor has any new hospital opened in Delhi till now. Now it has been revealed from Vivek Pandey’s RTI that Arvind Kejriwal does not even think to provide better health facilities free of cost to the people living below poverty line in Delhi. In this RTI, it was asked that when the Ayushman Bharat scheme was started in Delhi, how much amount was given by the Delhi government, how many people of Delhi got the benefit of Ayushman scheme till July 2022 and how many people were given Ayushman Bharat till July this year by the Delhi government. India card issued? In response to the first question, the Delhi government said that brother, this scheme is not applicable here. Obviously, where would the answers to the rest of the questions come from?
According to RTI activist Vivek Pandey, it is clear from this reply of the Kejriwal government that they are not concerned about the health of the poor of Delhi. Whereas, during the Corona period, the Ayushman Bharat scheme became a boon for this section of the society. Then more than 9 and a half lakh people got treatment in 27 states and union territories. Under this scheme, the Modi government also spent 3496 crores. Let us tell you that the Ayushman Bharat scheme was started by PM Modi on 23 September 2018. About 10 crore families are getting the benefit of this. Under this scheme, 5 people from every family get free treatment facility up to Rs 5 lakh every year in big hospitals.
