Badnawar (Naiduniya News). In the program organized in Ujjain on Thursday, Union Road and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari duly performed Bhoomi Pujan of four lane and other road construction works from Ujjain to Badnawar. After this, now there is a doubt about the 139 km long state highway number-18 being converted into a four-lane till Ujjain-Badnagar-Badnavar-Amarholi. Its exercise was going on for about four years, but the construction work could not start.
In December 2021, Union Minister Gadkari had declared the route from Ujjain to Badnavar as a national highway. This gave rise to the possibility of its early construction. After the Bhumi Pujan in Ujjain, the construction work of four lane road will start soon. Arrangements were made for the live telecast of the program from the LED at Badi Chowpatty. Public representatives and officials were present along with the farmers.1
39 km route was approved
The Toulen road from Dewas to Thandla was built about 17 years ago. Due to the direct connection of this route to the state capital Bhopal of Gujarat and Mahakaleshwar Jyotirling of Ujjain, the traffic pressure has increased significantly. In view of this, survey was done to make it four lane by widening the 139 km long route from Dewas to Ujjain-Badnagar-Badnavar to Amarholi in Petlawad. It is proposed to connect it up to Limdi near Dahod. Approval was given for its construction at a cost of about Rs 1130 crore. After the survey, the process of land demarcation, claim-objection and land acquisition was started in the year 2017-18. In June 2018, the road widening from village Chhankhedi of Ujjain was claimed by the officials of the National Highway Authority of India, Indore, during a discussion with the farmers in the public hearing here on March 19, 2018, but the process came to a halt in two years of Corona. After 3D publication in the year 2018, in December-January, compensation was also started to the farmers of village Dholana, Kheda, Kherwas etc. of Badnawar area in the first phase. In this too, complaints were made by some farmers about getting less compensation from the government guide line. In December last, Union Road and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari had declared Ujjain-Badnawar 69.1 km State Highway-18 as National Highway (H-752D). Therefore, the status of road widening from Ujjain to Badnavar has become clear, but the process of converting it into four lane till Amarholi is currently in cold storage. It is expected that it will be made in the second phase, but when the survey will be done again, when the demarcation will be done, the situation is not clear yet. Therefore it is believed that a four lane will be built from Ujjain to Badnavar.
The residents of Ujjain-Badnavar, excited by the Bhoomi Pujan, were shown the live telecast of the Bhoomi Pujan and inauguration program organized in Ujjain through LED screen at Chaitanya Veer Hanuman Temple at Badi Chowpatty. District President Sanjay Mukati, Suresh Patel, Praveen Chawla, Suresh Jat, Samandar Singh Chavda along with SDM Virendra Katare, SDO Lonvi SK Jain, CMO Asha Bhandari etc. were present.
