Speaking on the occasion, BJP National President JP Nadda said that we feel from the election campaign that in four states (Goa, Uttarakhand, Manipur, Uttar Pradesh) where we were in government, the people of that place will elect us again. As far as Punjab is concerned, for the first time, we are fighting on more than 65 seats. We have got very positive public support there and we will bring better results there than expected.
He further said that the way Prime Minister Modi has empowered the poor, oppressed, deprived, exploited sections, we have got to see its positive effect in the elections. During the election campaign, there has been a positive attitude of the public towards all the public welfare schemes of the central government.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that we are going to form the government again in all the four states. We will improve our position in Punjab a lot. For the first time, we have contested elections in Punjab as the single largest party in the alliance. Shah said that under the leadership of Yogi Adityanath, there has been a big change in the law and order situation of Uttar Pradesh. There has been a reduction of 30 to 70 percent in all types of criminal incidents in the state. At present all the mafia are in jail. Women and girls in UP now feel safe. He claimed that the BJP is going to form the government again in Uttar Pradesh with great strength.
Shah said that for the first time in Uttar Pradesh, democracy is seen flourishing till the bottom. Today we are seeing democracy flourishing for the first time in Uttar Pradesh by freeing it from casteism, family wise, appeasement, these three cankers. Shah said that for almost seven-and-a-half years, the BJP’s full majority government is running in the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Our government under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi has made the people of the country realize for the first time that an elected government wants to raise their standard of living.
Amit Shah also made a statement about the Indians trapped in Ukraine. He said that till March 4, we have succeeded in bringing 16,000 Indian nationals to the border of Ukraine. More than 13,000 people have been brought back to India. 16 more flights will return in the next 24 hours.
