Mumbai: Famous and veteran actor Ashok Saraf has been awarded the ‘Maharashtra Bhushan Award’. Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Thursday honored Ashok Saraf with the Maharashtra government’s highest civilian honor ‘Maharashtra Bhushan Award’. After receiving the honour, Ashok Saraf said, ‘I am very happy. There is no greater happiness than this. This is the number one award. During this, Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis was also present on the stage.
Ashok Saraf has been given the Maharashtra Bhushan Award for the year 2023, who has been working in Hindi and Marathi cinema for decades. He was given this award for his special contribution in the field of art. Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde himself had announced his name for the award and also presented it to him from the stage on Thursday. Ashok Saraf was not only funny, but he played many characters ranging from serious to villainous. The veteran actor made the audience of Hindi and Marathi cinema laugh for years with his characters.
