Lucknow. Tears in the eyes of parents, smiling faces of children and teachers welcoming with garlands in their hands. This scene was seen in all the divisions of the state today. The occasion was the beginning of the session of Atal Residential Schools, where construction workers, destitute during the Corona period and children eligible for the Chief Minister Child Service Scheme came to get free quality education on the lines of Navodaya Vidyalaya. When the parents who came to the school holding the hands of their children and saw the arrangements there, this initiative of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath seemed to them no less than a boon.
The students and their parents who reached the campus were surprised to see the arrangements in class rooms, hostel rooms and mess. For them till now such a wonderful arrangement was only a matter of imagination. The children were elated to know that all these arrangements had been made for them while the laboring parents had tears of joy in their eyes. He never thought that he would be able to send his children to study in such a school. For him today was no less than a festival. On this occasion, the parents expressed gratitude to CM Yogi. At the same time, the children also took a pledge to study wholeheartedly and do something.
Officials increased enthusiasm
In these schools built in different divisions of the state, 80 students have been admitted through the entrance examination in class six, out of which 40 are girls and 40 are boys. District and divisional level officials also participated in the commencement program organized in these schools today. He interacted with the students and parents and encouraged them. Officials said that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath intends that no student should be deprived of quality education because of money. This school will give a new flight to the dreams of the children of laborers as well as destitute children and will make them good citizens who will be able to contribute to the development of the state and the country.
Entry festival celebrated in Gorakhpur
The first academic session of Atal Residential School, started in Sahjanwa of Gorakhpur division, was celebrated as a festival. The teachers of the school welcomed the newly admitted children and their parents. Vikas Jaiswal, a labourer, resident of Nausadh, who had come to send his daughter Garima to school, said, “Even after increasing his current earnings manifold, he is not able to educate children in such schools. The worries about studies have gone away, now the future of the children will be better.” He thanked CM Yogi for providing free facilities like convent school to the children of labourers.
School started in Karsada, Varanasi
Atal Residential School in Karsada, Varanasi has been constructed at a cost of Rs 66.54 crore. Four houses namely Ganga, Yamuna, Saraswati and Gomti have been built in the school. The first session here also started from today. During this time, Aslam, a worker from Chandauli, who came with the desire to give computer education to his son, said, “His son wanted to study in a good school but due to low income, it was difficult for him to do so.” He said, “CM Yogi has fulfilled the dream of my family. Now we are free from worries.” It is noteworthy that the official inauguration of this school is proposed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 23rd September, but the session has started here from today also.
