Gwalior A war campaign against drug addiction: Varun Sharma, Gwalior Naiduniya. To prevent minor children from consuming drugs, Collector and District Magistrate Kaishlendra Vikram Singh has issued an important prohibitory order under Section-144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. Under this, now all SDM, CSP and TI will take action in their respective areas. At the same time, the Collector has asked the Education Department for a list of such schools, around which narcotics are being sold. Under the guidelines of the National Commission for Protection of Flood Rights, a joint action plan “A war against drugs” campaign has been prepared in the district. In connection with the implementation of this action plan, a prohibitory order has been issued under section 144. Violation of the order will be punishable under the Code of Criminal Procedure.
Collector and District Magistrate Kaishlendra Vikram Singh has issued orders under Section-144. In which the Special Juvenile Police Unit and Child Welfare Police Officers will identify shopkeepers and persons in such places of the district where children are being sold beedis, cigarettes and other intoxicants, Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act. And take strict action by registering an FIR under the rules. He has also made it clear in the order that there should be no sale of liquor and other types of intoxicants and tobacco etc. within a radius of 100 meters of all the schools in the district. Surveillance of liquor shops or shops selling other drugs in schools should be monitored through CCTV cameras. It has also been clarified in the order that selling liquor to minor children is strictly prohibited. The District Excise Officer should ensure to put up boards to this effect at all the liquor shops.

Orders have been issued to protect children from drugs. SDM and TI will keep vigil in their respective areas. We are also taking information from the School Education Department about which schools are there, where drugs are sold in the vicinity.
