Honda City Hybrid : In the sedan segment of the Indian car market, Japanese automaker Honda is known for the popular car City, about which it is reported that the company will launch the new City Hybrid in the Indian market by the middle of 2022. At the same time, a new media report has claimed that the new Honda City Hybrid is almost ready for production, which can be launched in the second quarter of 2022.

On the other hand, if past reports are to be believed, there are indications that the new Honda City Hybrid will be the most fuel efficient car in India. Which will be able to give mileage of more than 27kmpl. Because the Thai-spec and Malaysian-spec models give mileage up to 27.8kmpl and 27.7kmpl respectively. Although this mileage is claimed by the company, in the real world, the new Honda City will give mileage around 20kmpl.
The new sedan will be heavier than the current model
The new City Hybrid is equipped with a 1.5-litre petrol engine, this engine makes 98bhp power on the petrol model, while the electric motor makes 109bhp power. It is believed that this hybrid model is 110 kg heavier than the regular model. At the same time, the BootSpace has been reduced by about 90-litres to 410-litres.

The Honda City petrol CVT claims a mileage of 18.4 kmpl in India, however the petrol CVT is capable of delivering around 12 kmpl in real-world conditions. Currently the current City is on the 5th generation, and its price ranges from Rs 11.23 Lakh ex-showroom to 15.18 Lakh ex-showroom, while City Hybrid price could start from around Rs 18 Lakh.
