If a person has money, he first wishes to build a good house for himself. Although all the facilities are there and even after that the person stays in the kutcha house, this thing is not digested. Although today we are going to tell you about a village in which not only one or two, but the whole village lives in a kutcha house. No matter how much money they have. We are talking about Devmali village in Ajmer district of Rajasthan, where there are many millionaires. However, even after this, no house has been locked till date.
In the last fifty years there has been no theft in the village and no complaint of any kind has been filed in the police station. The entire land of the village is in the name of Lord Devnarayan. All the people of the village are vegetarian and are not addicted to any kind of intoxicants. They believe that if a pucca roof is built in the village, then there may be disaster in the village. Due to this, crores of husbands of the village also live in kutcha houses.
It is believed that when Lord Devnarayan came to the village, he was very happy with the service of the villagers. When he asked the villagers to ask for a boon, the villagers did not ask for anything. At the same time, God told them that if the villagers want to live in peace, then a pucca roof should not be built. Even today the villagers are following that information. Many decades have passed but there is not a single pitched roof house in the village. Bhagi Devi Gurjar, who has been the sarpanch of the village for the last 25 years, says that because of the mythological belief and faith in the whole village, she lives in mud and stone-built kutcha houses.
The sarpanch says that if he built a pucca roof in the house, then there may be trouble in the village. Even after TV, fridge, cooler and expensive cars in homes, everyone lives in kutcha houses. According to the villagers, many people tried to install a pucca roof but they got into trouble. Since then the villagers did not build pucca roofs for fear of any untoward incident.
