Bhopalpatnam. Devotees offer prayers to Shiva and Parvati on the day of Mahashivaratri on the banks of Bhopalpatnam and Timed, situated on the last border of the state. First of all, on Monday, on the engagement Tilak ceremony of Lord Bholenath Mahadev Shivshankar and Parvatiji, the ritual of Mandapachhadan was completed by taking out the Kalash Yatra with musical instruments. The engagement ceremony of Shiva Parvati was completed at Gandhi Chowk in Bhopalpatnam.
The marriage of Lord Shiva and Parvati was celebrated with great pomp after completing the wedding ceremony on the second day on Tuesday. Apart from Chhattisgarh, devotees from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Maharashtra reached in large numbers to participate in this Shivratri fair. To bathe in the Indravati river adjoining Timed since morning on the day of Shivratri.
Devotees arrive. After bathing here, people offer Bilva leaves along with milk and Jalabhishek on the Shivling. On the hill on the banks of the river Indravati, the Viraje reaches to worship Shiva. After that Shiva Parvati is worshiped in the Shiva temple of Bhopalpatnam.

Across the Dantewada district, there was a crowd of devotees staying in Shiva temples since morning. The famous Gadpadar Shiva temple in Kuakonda area including Gumragunda, Samlur, Bacheli of the district was crowded with devotees since morning. There are also Shiva temples at Palnar including Nakulnar in Kuakonda. The Gadpadar Shiva temple is built on top of a small tekri in the forest. Here people also saw the devotee Lord Ganesha along with Lord Shiva on their way to the temple. On Mahashivratri, a fair is held in Garhpadar. Bhandara was also organized here by the local villagers.
Shivji’s Jagrata, the artist of Meerut reached Kirandul
A grand Jagrata program of Baba was done on the occasion of Shivratri by the Bol Bam Kavadia Committee and the traders of Main Market late on Tuesday evening. In which famous artists of Meerut Ashwini Shrivas, Poonam Tripathi presented excellent bhajan songs so that the whole atmosphere was devotional and musical. Along with this, a beautiful tableau of Shiva was also performed by the artists. President of Bol Bam Committee, Shailendra Gupta and secretary Sunil Gupta told that the devotees enjoyed the huge Bhandara in the main market.
