New Delhi. On Tuesday, the election symbol has been offered for the second time in front of the Election Commission for the party’s symbol from the Eknath Shinde faction. For the second time, the Shinde camp has sent ‘shining sun’, ‘shield and sword’ and ‘peepal tree’ to the commission as alternatives for the party’s election symbol. It is worth mentioning that earlier the Eknath camp had sent three symbols of Trishul, Rising Suraj and Mace to the Election Commission as alternatives. But the Election Commission had rejected the mace and trident symbol as being a religious symbol. Apart from this, the rising sun of DMK, which was in power in Tamil Nadu, was not found by the Shinde camp due to the election symbol. After which the Election Commission was again asked to give them new options.
Let us tell you that in the politics of Maharashtra, there was a political battle between the Uddhav Thackeray camp and the Eknath Shinde faction over the election symbol for several days. Both the factions were making claims on the name and symbol of the party. In this sequence, the Election Commission has handed over the torch symbol to the Uddhav Thackeray faction on Monday. Apart from this, the EC had on Monday allotted the name Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) of the Uddhav faction, while the Shinde camp has been named Balasahebchi Shiv Sena.
EC writes to Shinde fact & Thackeray fact; allots the name ‘Balasahebanchi ShivSena’ to Shinde faction &’ShivSena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) to Thackeray faction, declines to allot ‘Trishul’, ‘Rising Sun’ & ‘Gada’ as symbols as they are “not in the list of free symbols ” pic.twitter.com/1oz0YMSYQk
