Was fascinated by space and people associated with it since childhood, could not join NASA due to lack of eyes
It is said that no wings are needed to fly dreams. Born in Chirala in Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh, Sirisha Bandla moved to America at the age of 4. Now space-goer Kalpana will become the second Indian-born woman after Chawla. Sirisha, who went to America at the age of 4, was born in Guntur, Andhra Pradesh in the year 1987. Sirisha’s father B Muraleedharan and mother Anuradha had gone to work in America. After which Sirisha flew alone from India to America.
Sirisha was very interested in space and the people associated with it since childhood. So he thought of making his career in the field of space itself. Graduated in Aerospace and Aeronautical Engineering in the year 2011. Sirisha wanted to go to the nose, but due to some defect in the eye, she did not. After which one of his space professors advised him to prefer space policy. Apart from this, in the year 2015, Sirisha did MBA from George Washington University.
In 2015, Sirisha joined Richard Branson’s company Virgin Galactic. Where he got promotion in just 2 years. In the year 2017, he became the manager of the company’s business development and government affairs. After three promotions in 6 years, Sirisha is now the Vice President of the Company’s Government Affairs and Research Operations. Company founder Richard said that there will be a total of 6 people on Virgin’s Orbit flight. In which he will also be. Let us tell you that where the Virgin Orbit flight is going, that VSS Unity 22 is about 90 kilometers from the earth i.e. at an altitude of 2.95 lakhs. Sirisha and all her companions will experience weightlessness for 4 minutes in the sky. After which the flight will return to Earth and land on the runway.
Fellows accompanying Sirisha include Dave MacKay, Michael Mylist, Colin Bennett, Bette Moses and company founder Richard Branson. Sirisha loves Indian dishes. Due to which his mother has come to New Mexico with Mutton Biryani. Sirisha said that after coming from space she would ask her mother to make her favorite yellow lentils.
