New Delhi. After opposing the agricultural laws for a year, now the United Kisan Morcha is going to oppose the Agneepath scheme for the recruitment of Agniveers in the SKM army. Morcha leader and Swaraj India President Yogendra Yadav announced this. He said that from Sunday, SKM is going to launch a nationwide campaign against this scheme. Under this, in the first phase, ‘Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan’ conference will be held at many places till August 14. Yogendra Yadav said that through this campaign we will force the central government to withdraw Agneepath scheme by using democratic, peaceful and constitutional means.
He said that the Agneepath scheme is disastrous. If the agricultural laws were strict, this plan would bring destruction. In times of crisis, this scheme threatens to break the backbone of the country along with our farmers and soldiers. Yogendra Yadav said that today some programs have been organized in Jind in Haryana, Mathura in UP and Kolkata. After this, on August 9, programs will be held in Rewari in Haryana and Muzaffarnagar in UP. On August 10, the program has been kept in Indore in Madhya Pradesh and Meerut in UP and on August 11 in Patna. He demanded that the old system of regular and permanent recruitment should be restored by withdrawing the Agneepath scheme.
