A student organization of Tripura (Tripura students protest) has objected to the forced imposition of Bengali language in the examination and now they are planning to block the road against this decision. They say that if their demands are not accepted then they will disrupt rail and road routes in the state. Student organization president Sajra Debbarma has given information about this in a press conference.
According to PTI, Tipra Indigenous Student Federation, the student wing of Tripura’s main opposition party Tipra Motha Party, has strongly protested against this decision of the Tripura Board of Secondary Education. He said that students writing the examination in Kokborok language should be allowed to appear in the Roman script along with Bengali. They have decided to hold an indefinite chakka jam to protest which will start on Monday, January 12.

Students will do Chakka Jam in Tripura
Students said that earlier Tripura Board Chairman Dhananjay Gana Chowdhury had given permission that students can use Bengali as well as English script in the Kokborok examination, but later he changed his decision, and used only Bengali. Decided to write. He said that he has evidence that earlier both the scripts were used in the examination. He says that he will not hold any kind of talks until he gets written permission from the Education Department that he can also use Roman.
Only emergency services will be allowed to go
The students said that the state government is violating the education system of the central government. He said that just to express his protest, he will close all the highways and railways on February 12, only emergency services will be allowed.
