Team India registered a historic win against England in Test cricket, which is their biggest win so far in such matches. Earlier, India’s biggest winning margin was a 372-run win against New Zealand in 2021. However, there has now been a significant change in the record. Globally, this is the 8th biggest win in terms of runs in Test cricket. England tops this list, which defeated Australia by 675 runs in 1928.
Talking about the match, Team India captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bat first against England. The decision looked momentarily flawed on the first day of play when India lost three wickets for just 33 runs on the board. However, Rohit Sharma stitched a partnership with Ravindra Jadeja to get India out of a difficult situation. Both made an important partnership of 204 runs for the fourth wicket. Rohit Sharma scored 131 runs in the first innings, while Jadeja contributed 112 runs. Ultimately, Sarfaraz Khan played some powerful shots and scored 62 runs and on the second day of the game, Team India was out for 445 runs.
