Even though the trend of expressways and superfast highways is increasing in the country, but traveling on them is not only comfortable but also proving to be a very expensive deal. Toll tax has been imposed on the Jaipur-bound section of the recently commissioned Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. You will be surprised to know that you will have to pay twice as much as the diesel or petrol being spent to walk on this road.
₹ 90 toll tax has been kept for just 19 kilometers.
If you are traveling on the Delhi Jaipur Expressway with a private vehicle which is a part of the Delhi Mumbai Expressway, then you will have to pay a fee of ₹ 90 for just 19.8 kilometers from Sohna to Khalilpur.
1 liter diesel comes in ₹ 90 and the car runs 20 kilometers.
Now talking about the toll tax, then understand that 1 liter of diesel comes in just ₹ 90 and with that the car runs for 20 kilometers more. Accordingly, even before crossing the first toll tax of the section, your travel cost will be 2 times the cost of your diesel petrol.
If you cross this entire section and reach Barkapara, then you will have to pay a toll tax of ₹ 500, then you will be able to reach Jaipur. Private vehicle owners will have to pay a toll tax of ₹ 500 for the total distance of 228 km.
If you have booked a commercial vehicle to reach Jaipur, then you will have to pay this toll tax in the form of ₹ 805.
Even though it will be easier to walk on the Delhi Jaipur Expressway, but now its inflationary dance will have to be seen by the people walking on the road. Not only this, there will be more impact on the movement of commercial vehicles especially on the road and their fares will be more expensive.
People traveling by buses and other cabs etc. will soon have to cross the distance from Delhi to Jaipur on the new fare. These new rates will be implemented from 24:00 on February 15 and its recovery will be started.
