The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) and the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) are soon going to launch a facility that can solve the problem of fake calls. KYC based process is going to be started by TRAI. When it is implemented, the KYC name of the calling user will be displayed on your mobile. TRAI Chairman PD Vaghela said that discussions on this are expected to start in a few months.
What will be the benefit of its implementation
After the implementation of this rule by TRAI, no user will be able to hide his identity. The KYC name appearing on the phone means that the name will be correct. With this, you will be alert from fake and spam calls in advance. Although even before this, the facility to see the name of the user on the phone is under TrueCaller, but there is a possibility of fraud in the name appearing on it.
All users will have to do KYC
This new KYC based process will be as per the norms of DoT. Under this process, the users who make KYC calls will be able to be identified. In this process, on behalf of the telecom companies, users will have to enter the official name, address in the name of KYC. Apart from this, voter ID card, driving license or electricity bill receipt will have to be given as a document.
