Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chief Mehbooba Mufti on Monday targeted the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over the situation in Jammu and Kashmir. He said that the BJP wants to tell the world that everything is fine here, but they have made the valley a graveyard. Interacting with the journalists, Mehbooba said that PDP is a Jamaat which raises voice against atrocities in Kashmir. This does not suit the BJP. They want to tell the world that everything is fine here, while they have made Jammu and Kashmir a graveyard. They have buried people alive. Telling the truth is not allowed here. We will continue to raise our voice against this.
Let us tell you that in August 2019, the Central Government removed Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir and divided it into two Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. During this, many leaders of the Valley, including National Conference leaders Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba, were placed under house arrest. However, now all have been released. Other leaders, including Mehbooba, repeatedly raise their voices for the withdrawal of Article 370 and the special status of Kashmir.
In such a situation, BJP remains on their target. A few days back, Mehbooba had described the BJP as the East India Company of modern India. He had also said that BJP is bent on making the country Godse’s India. She fights people in the name of religion. Working on the agenda of abolishing the constitutional rights of minorities. During this, he also said that 5 August 2019 was not only a tragedy for the people of Jammu and Kashmir, but it struck them like an earthquake.
Mehbooba had said that people should vote for the PAGD alliance to defeat the BJP in the J&K Assembly elections. While addressing a party program, he had said that it is too early to talk about elections, because the time has not yet come, but remember my words. If you don’t like PDP(candidate), PAGD will vote for any other candidate among the alliance. Similarly, if the other candidate is not of your choice, the PDP will vote for the candidate.
Mehbooba had said that you only have to choose any of these and do not vote for an independent or any other candidate. He had also said that his party or the National Conference alone has not lost anything, but the people of entire Jammu and Kashmir have been denied their rights and they will have to fight for restoration of their “snatched rights”.
