The fifth phase of polling in Uttar Pradesh will be held on Sunday. Voters of 61 seats in 12 districts will exercise their franchise. With voting, the fate of 693 candidates will be imprisoned in the EVMs. Like in the previous four phases, there are many MLAs contesting in this phase also whose age has not increased in the normal way. That is, in five years, some have increased by four years, some eight years and some by 11 years. There are some whose age has decreased instead of aging. Gulshan has once been special to Raja Bhaiya. Sindhuja Mishra is in fray from BJP, Mohammad Faheem from BSP and Yogesh Kumar from Congress.
Dheeraj Ojha is pitted against SP’s RK Verma, BSP’s Ajay Yadav and Congress’s Abdul Wahid in Raniganj seat of Pratapgarh district.
Satish Chandra Sharma, who won from Dariyabad in Barabanki district, is pitted against Arvind Singh ‘Gop’ of SP, Jagprasad Rawat of BSP and Chitra Verma of Congress.
Rajamani is pitted against Ram Dev of SP, Rajbali Jaisal of BSP and Ram Kripal of Congress in Koraon reserved seat of Prayagraj district.
