Uttar Pradesh 4th phase voting , In Lakhimpur Sadar assembly constituency, about an hour after the polling began on Wednesday morning, a mischievous voter put faviquick in the EVM, due to which the voters got upset as the button was not pressed. When the officials got this information through BLO, there was a stir. As soon as the information was received, the top officials immediately changed the voting machine and after about 15 minutes the voting started again.
Case of Kadipur Sani polling station in Lakhimpur
This whole matter came to the fore at Kadipur Sani polling station in Lakhimpur assembly constituency. Here District Officer Mahendra Bahadur Singh said that as soon as the matter came to the notice, the EVM has been changed immediately and voting has started again there. It was also informed that a case would be registered against the accused concerned and he would be arrested soon.
Voting is going on in 59 seats of the fourth phase today
Significantly, in the fourth phase of the assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, voting is going on in 59 seats. In this phase 2.13 crore voters will decide the fate of 624 candidates. 91 women candidates are in the fray for the voting in this phase. 16 seats are reserved in this phase. The Election Commission has made tight security arrangements for fair and peaceful polling. In 2017, 62.55 percent polling was recorded in these seats. In this phase, polling is being held in Pilibhit, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Hardoi, Unnao, Lucknow, Rae Bareli, Banda and Fatehpur. ADG Law and Order Prashant Kumar said that 860 companies of central forces have been deployed for the polls.
