Despite the efforts of the government in the country, the speed of website hacking is not taking its name to stop. According to government statistics, in the last three years, about 80 thousand websites have been hacked across the country. The government claims that elaborate arrangements have been made to deal with this problem.
According to the data of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, 24,768 Indian websites were hacked in the year 2019, 26,121 in the year 2020 and 28,897 during the year 2021. Audit before hosting
Government websites are audited for cyber security before hosting them to protect them from hacking. Even after hosting, the website and application are audited regularly. For this, a Cyber Crisis Management Plan has also been prepared by CERT-In for all the Ministries and Departments of the Central Government as well as the State Governments and their important organizations to combat cyber attacks.
