Konta. Situated on the banks of Triveni Sangam, Sri Sri Manikeshwar Shiva Temple in Konta Nagari and Gayatri Pragya Peeth were started with a two-day Kalash Yatra on the 16th anniversary celebrations. The Kalash Yatra, passing through the main road, was established in the temple courtyard.
On the second day, on 21st February, from eight o’clock in the morning, Jalabhishek in the Gayatri temple, after offering prayers, the Navkundiya Gayatri Mahayagya was performed in the Manikeshwar temple premises and was completed at three o’clock in the afternoon. After that the Bhandara was organized by the committee of Manikeshwar Samiti, Konta.
The 500-year-old Sri Sri Sri Manikeshwar Shiva Temple, Konta and Gayatri Pragya Peeth is considered a center of faith for the city. Under the aegis of Shiv Mandir Committee, every festival of Sanatan Dharma is jointly celebrated by law. Every Monday, the entire Konta is transformed into a devotional atmosphere with Bhajan Kirtan. Devotees also reach from the surrounding rural areas to visit the temple.

This year also, on the first day of the two-day 16th restoration anniversary celebration of Sri Sri Sri Manikeshwar temple, under the supervision of learned Brahmins on behalf of Gayatri Shaktipeeth Sukma, hundreds of women took out the Kalash Shobha Yatra in Konta Nagar by law from the Shiva temple premises.
Hundreds of women and men participated in the Kalash Yatra. During this, the atmosphere of the entire Konta city remained devotional due to the announcement of Gayatri Mata. During this, the temple complex resonated with the chants of Har Har Mahadev of the devotees. Women and men enthusiastically participated in the Nav Kundali Gayatri Mahayagya program by the pundits of Gayatri Pragya Peeth in the Shiva temple premises. Along with this, villagers who came from the surrounding areas also offered prayers.
