The District Magistrate said that patients coming to the Divisional District Hospital Azamgarh will get the facility to the patients coming to the single donor platelet affresis machine. He said that the main objective of installing the machine is that there is a lack of platelets.

Earlier, platelets were collected by taking 6 to 8 persons with blood to give platelets to a person, then platelets were sufficient for a person, this new machine would only take sufficient quantity of platelets from one person’s blood and immediately through the machine, the blood will be returned inside that person.

The District Magistrate said that there are many benefits from this machine, after removing platelets from the same blood donor, the remaining blood gets automatic returns in the body of the blood donor. In this, the patient and blood donor do not have an infection and reaction chance. Donor is less required and the biggest advantage is that donors can donate blood again within 72 hours.

He said that generally it takes at least 3 months when you donate blood, but this process will make blood donateable after 72 hours.
