Balrampur News: In Balrampur district late Thursday, the Health Department took major action and sealed two illegal clinics in Mahmud Nagar Bazar (Thana Haraiya) area. The health department team said that without any recognition and license, the doctors were running private practice for a long time.
During the action, clinics of Dr. Harishankar and Dr. Farooq were closed. Investigation revealed that Dr. Harishankar is only a student of D-Pharma First Year and has no valid right to do medical practice. At the same time, Dr. Farooq does not even have any type of degree or diploma. Despite this, he was operating his clinic in the name of “Hospital”.
Six beds and medicines worth millions of rupees recovered from the clinic
The health department team recovered six beds and medicines worth lakhs of rupees from the clinic of Farooq during the raid. The villagers were being arbitrarily charged in the name of treatment by creating a hospital -like arrangement. Departmental officials say that such illegal activities are directly playing with the lives of patients.
According to information received from the CMO office, both the clinic has been sealed and the report has been sent to the higher officials for further action. The Health Department has also clarified that a continuous campaign will be carried out against those running the clinic or hospital illegally in the district.

Local people welcomed the action of the department and said that for a long time such hawk doctors were misleading the villagers and putting their lives at risk. The villagers have demanded from the administration that strict action should be continued on such illegal clinics.
