The government has issued a warning for users using Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge browser. According to the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) under the IT Ministry, ignoring users can cause huge losses. According to the report, several flaws were found in Google Chrome, due to which fraudsters can do things like execute dangerous code on your system and bypass security by sitting remotely.
These users are in danger
This warning from the government is especially for those users who have been using Google Chrome browser version 99.0.4844.74 or earlier. The government agency’s warning states that Google Chrome browser has flaws due to blink layout, extension, safe browsing, splitscreen, angle, new tab page, browser UI and heap buffer overflow in the GPU. CERT-in said that users should immediately update Google Chrome version 99.0.4844.74 at the earliest.

Threat to Microsoft Edge too
As with Google Chrome, CERT-in has warned users of the Microsoft Edge browser of similar flaws. Under this, fraudsters can take advantage of these vulnerabilities by sending specially crafted requests.

Update Chrome browser like this
To keep their data safe, all users should update the old Chrome browser.
To update it, open Chrome browser and go to Menu.
After that click on Help option.
Here you will see an option named About Google Chrome.
Your Chrome browser will start updating as soon as you go here.
After that you have to click on ‘Relaunch’.
