Vivo is working to launch its Vivo X80 series of smartphones soon. The lineup will have a global launch and Vivo may soon launch the Vivo X80 series in India as well. Vanilla Vivo X80 and top-of-the-line Vivo X80 Pro+ smartphones have been spotted on the Indian BIS certification website, indicating that the phone will soon enter India. Additionally, Vivo X80 has popped up on the Geekbench database listing, revealing its key features.
Indian launch of Vivo X80 and Vivo X80 Pro+
Along with the BIS listing of Vivo X80 and Vivo X80 Pro+ BIS devices, Vivo X80 (with model number Vivo V2144) and Vivo X80 Pro+ (with model number Vivo V2145) have been seen in the listing, which means we have It can be seen soon.
Furthermore, the Geekbench listing confirms that the Vivo X80 out-of-the-box will boot Android 12 OS. The device will be equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 processor, which will be paired with 12GB of RAM. However, we can expect the device to launch in other memory variants as well.
Specifications of Vivo X80 Series
According to a recent intel from tipster Digital Chat Station, the upcoming Vivo X80 series will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9000 processors. Vivo X80 Pro is going to be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. Hence, it is unclear whether the Pro model will be the only handset to come with a Qualcomm chipset.
Previous reports suggest that both the Pro and Pro+ will feature 6.78 AMOLED displays. It is speculated that the Vivo X80 Pro+ will use QHD+ LTPO 2 panel, while the regular Pro will have FHD+ resolution.
The Vivo X80 is expected to sport a triple rear camera setup with a 50MP primary sensor, a 13MP sensor, and a 12MP sensor with 2X optical zoom. Vivo X80 Pro may come with a quad-camera setup with 50MP + 50MP sensors, along with a 12MP sensor with 2X optical zoom and a 50MP sensor with 5x optical zoom. The Pro+ model will also feature a 50MP front camera while the Vivo X80 and X80 Pro are expected to sport a 44MP front camera. Furthermore, both the Pro and Pro+ devices could pack a 4700mAh battery.
