Priority will be given to users’ safety and grievance redressal for January 13, 2022 In a step towards keeping the discussions related to the upcoming elections on social media safe, the country’s first micro blogging platform Koo App has adopted a voluntary code of conduct. For the first time, the Universal Code of Conduct created by the Internet Aid Mobile Association of India (AMAI) was presented to the Election Commission of India ahead of the 2019 General Elections.

This code of conduct is for fair and ethical use of social media during elections. By adopting a code of conduct ahead of the assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Goa and Manipur to be held between February and March 2022, Koo App as a responsible social media platform enables users to maintain their accountability for safe and fair elections. Assures commitment.

The Made in India platform giving Indians the right to express themselves in their mother tongue will follow the directions given by the Election Commission of India to limit any generation of the Bunavi Aadhaar Code. Koo App will inform and educate users and enhance their confidence in electoral laws and practices.

As an important social media platform, Koo App has a specially designed grievance redressal cell that facilitates timely resolution, protects users from abusive and malicious content and promotes responsible online behaviour. Enabling users to submit ideas in 10 languages, this multilingual platform was the first Indian social media platform to implement this compliance policy and regularly activates content inconsistent with regulations, along with submitting compliance reports as per the prevailing regulatory guidelines. effectively controls.
