In a horrific road accident in Chhattisgarh’s Gariaband district, 5 people died, while more than 20 people were injured. Cement loaded truck rammed tractor trolley. There was a cry after the accident. With the help of police and villagers, the injured were sent to Gariaband District Hospital. At the same time, 7 seriously injured people have been referred to Raipur. Gariaband SP is also present on the spot as soon as the incident was reported. All the villagers riding the tractor were returning to the village after participating in the Chhathi program.
Gariaband City Kotwali in-charge Satyendra Shyam said that the accident happened near Joba village on National Highway-130C, 8 km from the district headquarters. There is a collision between a truck and a tractor. Four women died on the spot in the accident, while one succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital. More than 20 people aboard the tractor trolley have been injured, in which 7 seriously injured have been referred to Raipur after first aid. Women and children are also among the injured. The bodies have been sent to the mortuary of the district hospital. Panchnama and post-mortem will be done in the morning. The names of the dead have not been revealed yet. Here, this incident has spread mourning in the village.
2 lakh compensation to the family of the deceased
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has announced an assistance of Rs 2 lakh to the family of the deceased and Rs 50,000 to the injured. The CM has given instructions for better treatment to the seriously injured. The CM has condoled the deaths in the road accident.

According to the information received from the police, all the injured are residents of Majrakatta village. He was returning after attending the Chhatthi (birthday) program when the accident happened. Police team including SP is present at the spot. The tractor trolley has been hit by a cement-laden truck. The driver of the truck is still trapped in the vehicle, which is being tried to be rescued with the help of JCB. Gariaband Collector Namrata Gandhi has instructed the CMHO to provide better medical facilities to the seriously injured.
