This Emirates auction was conducted by the Road and Transport Authority (RTA) Dubai. Dh35 million (approximately Rs 70 crore) was bid for the single digit number AA8 in this auction. Earlier last year, a bid of Dh38 million (about Rs 79 crore) was made for the single digit number AA9. The auction for ‘1 Billion Miles’ raised Dh53 million (around Rs 3 billion 35 crore). This money will be given to food for vulnerable communities living in more than 50 countries.

F55, V66 and Y66 also auctioned for crores
More different luxury numbers were auctioned in the auction. In this, the double digit car number plate F55 was auctioned for Dh4 million (about Rs 8.23 crore). At the same time, another car number V66 was sold for Dh4 million (about Rs 8 crore). At the same time, the Y66 number was auctioned for Dh3.8 million (approximately Rs 7.91 crore).

D5 number was sold for Rs 68 crore
Balwinder Sahni, an Indian-origin businessman living in Dubai, bought the ‘D5’ number plate in 2016 for 30 million dirhams (about Rs 68 crore). He had two special motives behind buying this number. The first was that he wanted to do charity in this unique way. He wanted to spend a huge amount for social service. Second is that they like to have unique numbers. His lucky number was 9. The value of Roman numeral D is 4. Whereas, the sum of 4 and 5 was 9. That’s why he bought the D5 number.
Bought two wheeler number plate for 15.44 lakhs
Brij Mohan, who lives in Sector 23, Chandigarh, bought a Honda Activa scooter worth 71,000. They wanted a luxury number for this scooter. He finalized the number CH01-CJ-0001 for the scooter. He had to spend Rs 15.44 lakh for this number. That is, after this luxury number, the total price of the scooter became Rs 16.15 lakh. Brij is an advertising professional. He says that in future this number plate will be used for his car.
