When 400 ragis were chanting Shabad Kirtan at the Red Fort, PM Narendra Modi sitting on the ground in front was also seen meditating. Earlier, he addressed the nation from the ramparts of the Red Fort, from where the Prime Minister has been delivering speeches on the occasion of Independence Day. On Thursday night at 10 o’clock it was the occasion of the 400th Prakash Parv of the ninth Guru Tegh Bahadur of the Sikh Panth. During this, PM Narendra Modi mentioned the sacrificial tradition of Sikh gurus amidst the shining lights on the Red Fort, while on the other hand he spoke openly on religious bigotry. During this, while giving a special message to the people of the Sikh community, he said that when there was a crisis in Afghanistan, we brought the forms of Guru Granth Sahib on the head and saved the Sikhs.
PM Narendra Modi said, ‘The holy Sheeshganj Gurudwara reminds us how great was the sacrifice of Guru Tegh Bahadur ji to protect our great culture.’ Modi said, ‘At that time there was a storm of religious bigotry in the country. There were people in front of our India who considered religion as the subject of philosophy, science and self-research, who had committed violence and tyranny in the name of religion. At such a time, India had a great hope to save its identity in the form of Guru Tegh Bahadur ji. At that time Guru Tegh Bahadur ji, becoming ‘Hind di Chadar’, stood like a rock in front of Aurangzeb’s tyrannical thinking.
How PM Narendra Modi tried to reach the Sikh community with his speech, it can also be understood from the speech of Manjinder Singh Sirsa, head of the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee. He said that it was an emotional moment that Guru Tegh Bahadur was remembered at the same Red Fort, the same place from where the decree was pronounced against him. Here in front of us is the place where Guru ji was sacrificed. PM Modi said on this occasion, ‘Guru Nanak Dev ji united the whole country in one thread. Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s followers were everywhere. Patna Sahib in Patna and Rakabganj Sahib in Delhi, we see ‘Ek Bharat’ everywhere in the form of the wisdom and blessings of Gurus.’
Credit given to PM Modi for opening Kartarpur Corridor
Praising PM Narendra Modi, Manjinder Singh Sirsa said that when he went to Hemkund Sahib, he saw the problem of movement there and ordered the construction of the ropeway himself. He said that due to the efforts of PM Narendra Modi, the Kartarpur Corridor was opened. Sirsa said that PM Narendra Modi has been blessed by the Gurus to come here. He said that we may never see such a sight now. It seems that as of today the date of April 21 has come to a standstill.
