SP leader Azam Khan, who is lodged in Sitapur Jail for the last two years, has got bail in another case. The Lucknow High Court has granted bail to Azam Khan and another in the Jal Nigam recruitment scam. However, he will remain in jail for now. Azam Khan still will not be released from jail due to many cases. On Tuesday also, the High Court has granted bail to Azam in a case. He was granted bail on Tuesday from the Lucknow Bench of the Allahabad High Court in a case registered against him in Lucknow. During this, the court had reserved the verdict against him in two cases, which were heard today.
Let us inform that a single bench of Justice Ramesh Sinha of Lucknow Bench of Allahabad High Court had directed Azam Khan to be granted bail. Chargesheet has been filed against Azam Khan under section 505(2) of IPC. Court has granted bail to Samajwadi Party Azam Khan in a case of grabbing government land.

A total of 87 criminal cases are registered against Azam Khan, out of which 84 FIRs were registered in Uttar Pradesh in the two years after BJP came to power in 2017. Out of these 84 cases, 81 were registered during the period immediately before and after the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
