Ben Stokes 5000 runs and 150 wickets in Test: England all-rounder Ben Stokes has made a big record in the second Test against West Indies by playing a smoky innings. Stokes played a brilliant innings of 120 runs off 128 balls with the help of 11 fours and 6 sixes on the second day of the second Test in Barbados. This is the 11th century of Stokes’ Test career. With this Stokes completed 5000 runs in Test cricket and he managed to make his place in the club of legendary players like Gary Sobers, Ian Botham, Kapil Dev and Jacques Kallis.
Stokes has become only the 5th and second England player to take 5000 runs and more than 150 wickets in Test cricket. Before Stokes, these feats have been done by Gary Sobers, Ian Botham, Kapil Dev and Jacques Kallis.

Talking about the competition, England started the second day with 244/3. Captain Joe Root continued the form on the first day with Ben Stokes adding 129 runs for the third wicket. During this, Root also crossed the 150-run mark. In the 118th over of the innings, Kimar Roach showed him the way to the pavilion by getting him out LBW. Stokes became more aggressive after Root’s dismissal and scored the 11th century of his Test career.
Apart from Root and Stokes, none of the lower order batsmen could cross the 50 mark, but all the players contributed their bit by playing small innings. England declared their first innings on 507 runs.
West Indies’ first innings was not off to a good start. In the second over itself, Fischer showed the way to the pavilion by dismissing John Campbell for a personal score of 4. After this, Shamrah Brooks (31 *), who came to support captain Krieg Brathwaite (28 *), did not give a wicket to the visiting team till the end of the day.
