With the swift action of the central investigative agencies in Maharashtra, the political upheaval is also very intense. There has been a lot of speculation about the return of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Amidst all this, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari also reached Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar’s house for dinner yesterday in Delhi. Shiv Sena’s Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut and MLAs of several parties from Maharashtra were also present here.
Earlier in the day, Maharashtra MLAs attended a tea party at Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut’s house at 6 pm.
Sharad Pawar invites Maharashtra MLAs for dinner tonight. Leaders of all parties are in Delhi to attend a training program in Parliament. Sources said the training program is for all the first-time legislators as per the parliamentary system of the country.
Speaking to news agency ANI, senior Maharashtra Congress leader Prithviraj Chavan, who is also a member of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly, said that for the first time, the MLAs elected to the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly have been called to Delhi by the Lok Sabha Secretariat for a program. Their training will take place from April 5 to April 6. To make the occasion special, we have also organized a dinner party, he added.
Prithviraj Chavan said that the meeting of the two leaders would be a courtesy call.
