With the arrival of November, the atmosphere of the festival has been created. All the festivals including Deepawali, Dhanteras are in front. For almost two years, people troubled by Corona want to enjoy the upcoming festivals fiercely. People want to celebrate the festival openly. However, in the midst of all this, we should not forget that the corona is still not completely over. Wherever we look at this time, people can be seen gathering in a crowd without masks and without social distance. Seeing in any market or public place, it is clearly known how careless people are.
Let us tell you that even after battling Corona for as long as two years, people are not learning their lesson and are negligent. Such carelessness of the people can push the country towards the third wave. Similar pictures are coming from other states including Gujarat, Maharashtra, Delhi, UP. These states do not seem to have a foothold in the market. Almost the same pictures have come out from Delhi’s Sarojini Nagar, Karol Bagh Market, Chandni Chowk Bazar, Lajpat Nagar.Apart from Gujarat, markets are crowded in all places like Lucknow, Prayagraj, Guwahati. There is a crowd in all the markets of Lucknow for Diwali. In the main markets of the city, Hazratganj, Aminabad, Patrakarpuram, Kapurthala, where crowds can be seen in the afternoon, people are also shopping in various malls. The markets are witnessing huge crowds since the last two days. Policemen and local administration are trying to control it by changing traffic and one-way, although still people are being negligent.
In view of these circumstances, Akshay Dhariwal, Consultant Virologist, National Vector Borne Disease Control Program said that people should be cautious about corona even during festivals. At the moment it cannot be said that the threat of corona is completely averted. The danger is not over yet, in such a situation, do not mobilize on festivals like Dhanteras, Diwali and strictly follow all the guidelines related to Corona.
