According to Municipal Commissioner Gaurang Rathi, KGN and UNDP are working on the PPE model. A ten metric tonne plant is installed in Ashapur. About 150 Safai Mitras are working. Polythene is closed in the city. Tetra packs and water bottles are in trend. Which is being disposed of by recycling it.
The plastic is separated, in which the PET bottle is pressed with a hydraulic baling machine and sent to the bundle for further processing. Other plastic waste is segregated and sent to be recycled.
