According to Municipal Commissioner Gaurang Rathi, KGN and UNDP are working on the PPE model. A ten metric tonne plant is installed in Ashapur. About 150 Safai Mitras are working. Sabir Ali, director of KGN Company, told that they are given 6 for one kg of polythene. Which sells for eight to ten rupees a kg. About two tonnes of polythene waste is collected daily from the city. Apart from this, 25 rupees per kg PET i.e. used drinking water bottle is purchased. After processing it sells around Rs.32-38 a kg.
