To stop the arrest of BJP leader Tajinder Pal Bagga, there may be a midnight hearing in the Punjab and Haryana High Court. The Punjab and Haryana High Court website has a case list in the case of Tajinder Pal Bagga vs State of Punjab for immediate hearing. According to the information, a petition challenging the arrest of Tajinder Pal Bagga can be heard at the residence of the judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court shortly.
It is worth mentioning that the Mohali Court on Saturday, while issuing a non-bailable warrant against Tajinder Pal Bagga, had termed the action of Delhi and Haryana Police as wrong. The court had said that the release of Tajinder Pal Bagga from the custody of Punjab Police and handing him over to the Delhi Police is absolutely illegal. After the issue of non-bailable warrant against Tajinder Pal Bagga, the Punjab Police got the right to arrest him at any time. This is the reason that the Punjab-Haryana High Court has listed the matter for immediate hearing.
As soon as this news came to the fore, fierce politics started between AAP and BJP. AAP leaders are taunting and saying that in the last few years only twice the court hearing has been held at night. First for the hanging of terrorist Yakub Menon and second for stopping the arrest of Tajinder Pal Bagga.
