Exemption of permission valid for a period of one year or till further orders
New Delhi, April 23 (IANS)| The Indian Council of Medical Research (Coutf) in collaboration with IIT Kanpur has given permission to conduct a feasibility study of COVID 19 vaccine delivery using drones. The Ministry of Civil Aviation said in a statement that the Ministry and the Directorate General of Civil Aviation in collaboration with IIT Kanpur have given conditional exemption to ICMR to conduct a feasibility study of COVID 19 vaccine delivery using drones.
West Central Railway (WCR) Kota and Katni for train accident site was also allowed to use drones to maintain safety and security of railway property for a period of one year from the date of issue of the letter.
In addition to these, Vedanta Limited (Cairn Oil & Gas) has also received conditional drone use exemption for data acquisition for inspection and mapping of assets till April 8, 2022.
