Facebook uses credentials to hack malicious apps
According to the Zimperium zLabs Mobile Threat Research team, malware spread due to malicious apps, third party app stores and sideloaded apps from the Google Play Store in March 2021. This malware works with a very simple trick. The victim first logs into the Malecious app through their Facebook credentials and later steals the users’ data. According to the researchers, Flytrap uses Netflix coupon codes, Google AdWords coupon codes and mobile apps like Best Football Team Voting and Player in different ways. After downloading these apps, they fool the users and also ask many types of questions.
After receiving an answer to each of these questions, it directs users to the Facebook login page asking them to login to Facebook to vote. The malware uses JavaScript injection, through which it gains access to a user’s Facebook ID, location, email address, IP address, etc. and subsequently steals the data. Here we have given you a list of 10 such apps that you should remove from your phone immediately.
