Children of Trident factory workers at Budni in Sehore district had gone for a picnic on the banks of Narmada river in Narmadapuram (Hoshangabad) on Sunday, out of which six children went into the deep water of the river. Four of these people died, while divers saved two.
Due to Sunday’s holiday, the children of the employees of Budni’s Trident factory had left the house for a picnic. These included Krishna Gopal Rajput’s 19-year-old son Praveen, Pavi Singh, Prahlad Bairagi’s 18-year-old son Vinay, Chaturram Thakur’s 18-year-old Aryan, Vedprakash Shukla’s son Hrithik and Dhurendra Kumar’s 18-year-old son Akash Bharti. All of them had descended on the herbal bank of the Narmada river to bathe in the river. Meanwhile these people went into deep water.
Divers rescued two
After the news of the children drowning in the water, the divers of the Home Guard’s rescue team tried to save them. Due to his efforts, Vedprakash’s son Hrithik and Dhurendra Kumar’s son Akash were saved. But the remaining four died. According to Hoshangabad police station, the bodies of all the dead youths have been taken out and they have been sent for autopsy.
