Former Bihar Chief Minister and RJD President Lalu Prasad Yadav was shifted to Delhi’s All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on Tuesday after his health deteriorated. After the conviction in the fodder scam, Lalu was undergoing treatment at the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) in Ranchi. When his health deteriorated, the medical board examined him and Lalu was shifted from RIMS to AIIMS in a chartered plane.
Lalu Prasad Yadav’s kidney condition is deteriorating continuously. The creatinine level has increased from 4.1 to 4.6 in the last ten days. Apart from this, seeing the problem of heart, the board of doctors of RIMS took a decision and referred them to AIIMS for further treatment. At 12 noon, the medical board decided to refer AIIMS.
RIMS Director Dr. Kameshwar Prasad informed that a Medical Board was constituted today to review his condition. His condition was deteriorating. His heart and kidneys were not working properly. In view of this, it was decided to send him to AIIMS.
He said that last time also AIIMS was sent to Delhi for treatment. Once again he has been sent to AIIMS Delhi for higher treatment. He told that if the situation suddenly worsens, it should not happen that there is no condition to send them. That’s why it has been sent as a precaution.
Let us inform that the treatment of Lalu Prasad was going on in RIMS as per the guidelines of AIIMS, only minor changes were made in the medicine. On the other hand, RIMS Medical Superintendent Dr Hiren Birua said that Lalu has been referred to AIIMS for better treatment.
After the completion of the paperwork, he went to the airport by ambulance with Bhola Yadav from the paying ward of RIMS at around five o’clock in the evening. At 6.30, Lalu Prasad left for AIIMS with daughter Misa Bharti in a chartered plane. During this, many RJD workers had reached outside the paying ward to see Lalu Prasad.
No need for immediate dialysis
Dr Kameshwar Prasad, Director of RIMS, told after exiting the medical board meeting that Lalu Prasad’s creatinine level is 4.6, but he needs immediate dialysis. However, he said that if the condition of the kidney continues to deteriorate like this, then the nephrologist of AIIMS can take a decision on it. He also said that a valve of Lalu’s heart has already been changed, in such a situation, problems in the heart can also emerge suddenly, so it is advisable to send it to AIIMS.

According to Jankari, Lalu Yadav has diabetes, blood pressure, heart disease, kidney disease, kidney stone, hypertension, thalassemia, prostate enlargement, uric acid increase, brain related disease, weak immunity, right shoulder bone problem, Leg bone problem, eye problem. His kidney is in fourth stage last stage.
Sentenced in Doranda Treasury case
Lalu Prasad Yadav was sentenced to five years in prison on February 21 by a special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court. He is accused of illegal withdrawal of 139 crore from Doranda treasury. Along with five years of imprisonment, Lalu was also fined 60 lakhs.
Lalu was earlier sent to Hotwar jail after his sentencing from the court. Lalu was shifted to a private ward in RIMS a few hours later in view of the situation.
