Farmers of village Pithorabad, located about 20 km from Satna district headquarters, got angry with the behavior of the officials and climbed the tower of the high tension line of electricity. In the viral video, farmer Ram Nath Kol is saying that if compensation is not given, then I will jump from here. Apart from these, Bhagirath Dwivedi and Kamalbhan Urmaliya also climbed into the tower. Kamal Bhan said that even after the order of compensation has been made, the Sub-Divisional Officer Revenue (SDM) is banished after going to Uchehra. Apart from this, the officials of the Power Grid are scolding.
Did not even get compensation for seven years
In fact, the line of Madhya Pradesh power transmission has gone from the fields of these farmers and the tower is also standing in the field itself. This tower was installed in 2015 but compensation has not been received even after 7 years, while the then Satna Collector Ajay Katesaria had passed a compensation of Rs 12 lakh per tower and Rs 3 thousand per meter of wire laying. Even after this the money has not arrived in the account of the farmers. Since then till now the farmers have climbed the tower seven times and this time they have sat there by laying cots. Hours after the video went viral, officials of the Revenue Department and Power Grid reached the spot and efforts began to understand the farmers.
